ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION
The primary mission and purpose of The OCP Charity foundation is to promote the wellbeing of children and young people up to the age of 25, in the Netherlands who are at risk of falling behind their peers due to physical and social constraints. Besides to enriching the lives of children, The OCP Charity foundation also have the ambition to positively contribute to the environment, by contributing to projects which reduce the carbon emissions. WHAT WE DO?
The foundation tries to achieve its goal by sponsoring institutions or foundations that make specific efforts to promote the wellbeing of children and youth up to the age of 25 and projects which provide land to plant trees, to reduce carbon emissions. Supporting these organizations is done with financial support from our sponsors or donations.
OCP will donate 2.5% of it’s earned carry interest to the OCP Charity Foundation.
Studiezalen
The Board has selected the Study Rooms foundation as one of the projects it will support financially since 2019. Stichting Studiezalen provides locations where young people from primary and secondary education can study weekly in peaceful locations in their own neighborhood. Stichting Studiezalen supports the students with personal attention and guidance in their developments and improving their school performance. In this way, the program of the Study Rooms Foundation is in line with the mission and strategy of The OCP Charity Foundation. For more information: www.studiezalen.com
Prinsengracht concert
Starting in 2022 The OCP Charity foundation, contributes to the Prinsengracht youth concert and provides kids the opportunity to attend the classical musical event, which they would not be exposed to normally. The Board has selected this project, as it fits the mission of The OCP Charity Foundation, to enrich the lives of children. OCP employees are actively involved on the day by supporting the children and the organization. For more information: visit www.prinsengrachtconcert.nl
Oranjewoud
The OCP Charity Foundation has created 2.5 hectares of forest in collaboration with the Buitenfonds and Staatsbosbeheer. The donation from The OCP Charity Foundation has made it possible to plant more than 8,000 trees on this plot. The planting results in a CO2 reduction of 30 tons of CO2-eq per year. In addition to the reduction, the forest also gives an impulse to the biodiversity of the environment. Staatsbosbeheer will manage the forest for at least 50 years.
